TORONTO, April 30, 2026–DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH) and Lyft (NASDAQ: LYFT) today announced their partnership expansion into Canada, expanding the value of DashPass by introducing rideshare savings for members. DashPass is DoorDash’s membership program designed to help consumers save on everyday purchases, offering $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders.
SAN FRANCISCO & CHICAGO, April 29, 2026–Today, Lyft (Nasdaq: LYFT) and United Airlines (Nasdaq: UAL) announced the ability to pay with miles, a first-of-its-kind feature that allows MileagePlus® members to redeem miles directly in the Lyft app for eligible rides.* The launch marks the first time an airline loyalty program and rideshare platform have offered direct mile-to-ride redemption in the U.S. — giving travelers the flexibility to use their miles to cover their Lyft ride and flight.

The ride-hailing giant has agreed to acquire Gett U.K., making it the largest app for London’s iconic black cabs. Lyft’s EVP for global growth, an Arsenal fan, is excited.
Lyft has agreed to buy Gett, an app used for requesting black cabs in London. Lyft CEO David Risher says international growth and expansion into capital-light businesses like Gett are key to growing the rideshare company. Risher joins Caroline Hyde and Ed Ludlow on “Bloomberg Tech.”
