The Dow Jones Industrial Average struggled to tighten its grasp on a key level Wednesday, a day after major stock indexes scored strong gains. Stocks on the Dow tried to edge above their 200-day moving average, but blue chips edged 0.2% lower in recent action. Volume on both the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange was lower compared with the first hour of trading Tuesday.

Box Jumps as AI, Overseas Gains Lift Sales Guidance
Box Inc. stock was climbing in premarket trading Wednesday after the cloud storage company beat earnings expectations for the first quarter and raised revenue guidance for the remainder of the fiscal year. Box management also raised its revenue forecast for fiscal 2026 to $1.165 billion to $1.17 billion from a previous range of $1.155 billion to $1.16 billion. Box shares jumped 10% to $34.72 in premarket trading.
