Commentary: This is the poster child for how to turn a bad trade data into a highly profitable trade. We had the initial trajectory as a short play, but then when they released we saw they beat on all 3 key metrics (EPS, revenue and guidance) so we exited trade immediately before hitting our stop and went in boldly knowing it would be a major pop up. IT doesnt always go this smooth that when you are wrong you make more than if you are right on the call, but in this case it was like magic. We took a 3.5% loss and then made about 10% on the reserve trade for 7% net. Those in the trade room watched it go down…
