5 Winners – 2 losers  with a  26.3% positive jump zone for the week. The two losers were pretty bad and it certainly affected things this week, even though we managed to pull out a nice positive. For our 5/5 strategy it worked out too, just had to be nimble traders.

Jump 1

[RCII] +2.7% — difficult trade but it never hit our stop after market. We held the position till morning and where dropped about 4% from the close and we took profit at 2.7%. Certainly not a big win, but we played it out. It retraced from there.

[YELP] +29.3%  perfect jump. This is what we like to see, even though our retrace trade never materialized. We shorted this dog just before close and it went down and kept on going down.  We took profit several steps along the way.

[TWTR] +12.2% — A fun trade. We went long and got out around 40.50. There was a strong down move the next day after the earnings call – so its important to get out and pocket your nickles when you can. The next morning it opened 11% down. Those traders that stayed in overnight, did not do well – even though the data was correct and it was a winner.

Jump 4

[SCTY] +4.0% — This one jumped all over the place – but never hit oue 5% stop  and we rode it down per the data but got out at 4% to be safe. Too much see saw. Our commentary (for whats it worth) was spot on however:  StockJumpers Trajectory Analysis tool reveals that revenue may be higher than anticipated even though market sentiment may not be as favorable to release  – perhaps due to higher losses this quarter so we have it as a SELL”.

[WFM] -15.1% total bomb. Probably one of our worst bombs ever. We didn’t see this one coming, Ouch. Like Golf – weill have to make it up on the next hole

[EXPE] -11.9%  bomb. Another bomb. This was a great jump – just a bad call.

[EA] +5.1% —  The initial whip saw up never hit out stop and we rode it down and collected our coveted nickel. We called a retrace and we did go back in for another 3% – to make up for being so wounded on the Expedia trade. Though it was a hard trade and you had to watch it… it unfolded as the data suggested.
